Here is one I didn't think I would be able to own. The story goes that All American Models sold this resin kit that was mastered by the master modeler from Finland, Juha Airio(I hope I didn't mangle his name). AAM has been out of business for some time now, and I knew the whereabouts of only one kit, and he's not parting with it. So imagine my surprise when these started popping up on Ebay recently. I'm not sure how R&R did it, but once again, they are the only place to find a resin kit of a subject that is a bit off to the side of mainstream. The master is beautiful, with intricate upholstery designs and an accurate looking body. The only mistake that jumped out at me was the catalytic converter that would not be on any 1971 car. It is typical R&R in that the resin quality is not as good as the best from Modelhaus and others but certainly not the worst. The first one of these I saw on Ebay went for almost $300 but I got this one from Steve Kohler at Star Models for the regular price for his kits.

Have you done anything with the Delta 88 yet? If not maybe you should have some one on this board make a copy of it?

Haven't touched this one yet. Who wants to make a copy of it?

Not sure how/why I missed this thread when it was new ... or thereabouts ... but I did.
Got it now!
Dan, and anyone else wondering ...
First of all, you got Juha's name right. Extra points if you can pronounce it right! ;D
"I'm not sure how R&R did it, but once again, they are the only place to find a resin kit of a subject that is a bit off to the side of mainstream."
They did it the traditional way ... they copied one of All American's kits.
At any rate, how's it coming?

Have you done anything with it yet? If not I would try the AMT 70 Monte Carlo chassis under it.

Danno, I'm going to take the safe way out and not even try to pronounce Juha's name! And when I said I'm not sure how R&R did it, I meant legally... I was shocked to see it's been almost 2 years since I posted this, and embarrassingly, I haven't touched this one since that time. I have tons of resin to build, I had better get busy! Darkrapid, thanks for the suggestion on the chassis. I'll have to check that out.
