That MKIV is a beauty. I love the old Le Mans cars and yours looks just right. I hope to build a replica of the Steve McQueen Gulf Porsche 917K (from the movie "Le Mans") one of these days. Bernie

Raoul, I am curious. Please explain the reason for blue right-side knock offs vs red left-side knock offs. Bernie

I thought that was strange too, but there is a reason!! The knock off threads were different. This was so the pit crew didn't mix them up as the left side used LH thread and the right used RH thread.

That's what I suspected. By the way, great job on both cars. Coincidentally, I was reading a March 1968 edition of Car Model magazine today. (Please, no jokes on how far behind I am on my reading) The issue had a reference article on the Mark IV. There was a color picture of the red car and those red knock-offs caught my eye. Bernie
