Heading out to Queen Creek for the annual "Stare(24 hours of races), Glare(eyes glazed over after hours of building) , and Glue Sprue(kits and parts) Slumber Party"[/i] at Mickley Mansion with the gang.  This is one time tomorrow does not come early! Wish us luck.[/b]

Dan, are you going to get at least one done this time? I won't be there this time because I have to work  so you won't have to worry about any flashes from my camera ;D So you guys won't be able to take pictures of my screen saver with my own camera again!!! ;D  |

We ALL WALKED out!!!!! Had a blast! Build a corvette! Watched a few races indy cars LIKE walls!!!!!!! I think the wall is magnetic!! PK

I had a great time! Dale and Leslie were exceptional host/hostess; it was great to have Dan D. back from his travels; it was good to see Dean building again and hanging out with his friends; and, I got to see Bernie build {another} Indy car!
I threw some glue and putty around, splashed some paint, and got two builds (ready for it?) ... ~almost~ ... finished. One is ready to assemble (all parts filed, sanded, finished and painted), but awaiting decals. The other ran into serious filler issues (would NOT cure) so the bodywork became impossible.
And, Ollie performed for many hours!
Dinner was exceptional both afternoons/evenings and breakfast was a nice ... break.
We missed you other guys.

... was that ...
NOT ONE SINGLE, SOLITARY FRICKING GENERAL LEE  WAS BUILT (or was even anywhere on the premises)!

Now that I have caught up on my sleep, I want to thank our fine hosts, Dale & Leslie, for making making our 24 hour build experience a comfortable one.

Here is a picture of my 24 hour build. The Revell Indy cars, combined with Tamiya spray paints, are tailor made for a quick build and it's fun to build one while we are watching the Indy race. I almost made a rookie mistake and crashed it into the wall just before completion.  And here is a picture of a project car that I got started at the 24 hour build session.  For those that can't find the car in the picture, It's Dale JR's "Camo" car. What? You can't see it? LOL |
