That bumper and exhaust tips he made is the optional N-25 custom bumper that Buick offered on the 71 GSX. I'm not sure that it was even offered in 70. I think 71 was GSX only and 72 was a GS/GSX option. 70 was the first year for a GSX. When I was a member of the Gran Sport Club Of America I had a cool color photo of a line of 70 GSX's that was longer than the line of actual GSX cars built by Buick that first year. There were a lot of clones built. Convertibles were not offered. The VIN number for a real GSX ends in a QQ or XX.

WOW! John ;D
Great minds think alike! That's the same colors I chose for my still unfinished convertible version. I have been waiting for a good N-25 Bumper master to come my way to cast so I can finish mine. Too bad I didn't dream up the marker lights when I started this project in 2005. This is my first airbrush project. The paint isn't perfect but I sure impressed the hell out of myself for jumping in and trying. Since this pic I added the photo etch parts too. Here are a couple of fresh pics. Also after three tries I got a really nice flocked interior but hard to see in pics. The boot is from a 70 442 I bought from Modelhaus
