Thanks, John. It was somewhat easy for me to cut up several of these kits to create a flip nose version. I'm just not very good at actually scratch building a part. I will send you a PM.

That is a nice color on both of them, I'm lovin it.
John, those rear tires look to much like truck or snow tires. Do you have anything else to use in your parts bin? Your front tires look like the ones in the 2004 Z06 kit. If they are I have some extras for you if you need them.

Hey John, I really appreciate your compliment on my convertible. Marty told me you were showing this build on the MCM board. You sure do tolerate a lot from those guys. They just don't let up. I would like to get it done and put it on the table despite the paint imperfections.
The Buick 455 was the lightest 455 engine in the GM fleet. They used more nickel in the block is what I remember from the GSXtra Magazine back when I was a member of the GSCA. They did have oil galley problems though.
Also those marker lights trimmed in BMF will really look good at final assembly. The front marker lights were made from the HOK gold paint.

Hey John looks great! Greg's body looks pretty nice. Its the first time I have seen the flip nose...I might have to get one now.
Greg you have to finish your convertible now!! the 2 of them would look really cool on the table next to each other. We might need a Cosma Ray and a Buick section for the show....or maybe a MasterCaster table for cars built from Master Cast resin kits!

Looks Great John....looking forward to seeing this one in person. bet that color just pops out at you.....I enjoy watching you build as it gives me ideas, to try on my own projects. wood grain contact paper for the wood accents. the fine screens for the hoods intake, the foam between the hood and motor. the use of decals on the seat belts, and under the hood......that kind of detail is a nice touch
