Here is an old kit I decided to rebuild a few years ago. I have had many delays and lost motivation a few times. What started out as leftover parts from another project. An old resin conversion to turn a 71 Cuda into a 70 AAR Cuda left me with a 70 T/A Challenger with no chassis and a 71 Hemi Cuda chassis. So I made this. That was back in the early 90,s. I liked it but decided to rebuild it better with some decals and photoetched parts. I even ordered the rear vallance panel from AFX. As you can see in the pic the paint was not good. So I stripped it in brake fluid. I forgot about the resin part and it was destroyed. So I ordered another from AFX. That was when they were having lots of problems filling orders. It took over a year to get another one but I was happy to see it. I had lots of body work to do and added the Cuda's Shaker ring and correct vents to the Shaker hood. So now it is painted and the photoetch has been applied. I even got Fred Cady stripes to go with it. The stripes didn't fit well but they will have to do!! I'm close to finishing this one but not for the next meeting.

I have to finish some before I move on to that one. Plus I ordered the chrome grill, grill insert, steering wheel and chrome rear bumper from Modelhaus for that build. I was notified on friday that my Modelhaus order was shipped. I should see it this week. Also on that order is some 442 items!! Yeah.

Well I have managed to get moving on this one. I need to take more pics soon and update this. I got the BMF done and clearcoated it. Polished it and started final assembly. That is when I cracked the replacement glass that I robbed from a donor kit. Then I robbed another TA kit for the glass. I'll order a replacemnt soon for that.
New glass is now in and now it's time for all the madness (detail painting).

Raoul, That car is looking great. I hope I can start getting my paint jobs to look as good as yours.

Brian, It's just a matter of practice and teqnique. We should have a build session with a theme like body painting. That way we can all tell our tricks. It would take longer than a usual meeting but would be great!!!
