I believe that this kit was originally issued by Aurora, so you're looking at tooling that was done in the '60s. Might explain the parts fit.

Johnathon. You can get some superglue ungluer. It will remove any sign of CA glue on anything. CA glue is just amazing. There's a ZIP KICKER that will instantly set it and the undoer that will remove any messes. I make plenty of messes with that stuff and I don't even build models!

That is a nice looking car. I bought a Revell XKSS version that I really like. I started building it. I have one for casting but don't know when I will fit it in.

Make sure that super glue ungluer isn't something nasty like acetone. Most stuff that will break super glue will dissolve styrene. If you can get the windshield loose and soak it in water for near forever, super glue is ever so slightly water soluble.

Jonathan, I have previously built the same car in the same color scheme. I share your frustrations with the parts fit. As I recall, the major problem was fitting the top of the body to the bottom. Also, the convertible boot is oddly shaped. Your build turned out very nice. Great job. Bernie

Thank you for the kind comments ands suggestions, I use loctite super glue, I will have to remember to get some debonder
Bernie, you correct, the top part of the body to the lower part has a horrible fit, its almost like the one or the other was molded not long enough .
