MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT 03/13/2013
Hi everybody, my Fairlaine project was not dead, a little progress for now! I need to check if my hood need to be perfored, to give a place to the carburator and air filter. To give more stability to my air filter, i use an little cylinder, an air filter from the AMT modified kit, then i install un cardurator to give more stability to my very nice aluminium air filter (Parts by Parks)
There is the result...
But this need to made a big hole on to my hood to permit to air filter to pass.
That's it for today.... stay tuned for the next Shop Report soonelly on this forum...

March 24th, 2013 MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT
Ok folks! Now my club show is now pass, it's time to coming into the shop to continiu my work on my Fairlaine.
1- Noe my propject need another donnor kit, a Polor Light Lee Roy Yarbrough 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler! This will also give some "other" parts like the engine, suspension parts and certainly some others!
2- For why i need his engine, when i started the Torino engine this one blowed up! No, seriously, then have a headers fit and this need then a scratch a headers and when i try to drill my engine block to put my hearders i use my Dremel and y totally destroyed my engine, the best then i have to say, never use a Dremel to doing that! And ol;d engine finish into the garbage bag!
3- now my former engine was in garbagge, i need another one and it'S at this time then my Mercury enterin action, this kit offer two engine possibility, a big Nascar Boss 429 and alson an very nice 427c.i. then just waiting me to be specialy built just for my Fairlaine project! There is the 427 partially built just for the show!
4-After that i decide to made other "modfication", i change the rear suspension for the one coming from the MErcury kit. But i have a small problem, the suspension lame fir right on the same place but the differential inplacement was différent, and this change my wheelbase.
5-Anuway, all problem they come with solution into the box, first i'm looking to built another chassis, but this need too much time, the NNL East is in 4 weeks! I will decide to relocated my suspension.
6- I glued two small Evergreen block and that be ralocated my suspension and of course the Fairlaine wheelbase.
And now all fit perfectly, like dad into the mom!!!! (oups!)
Right on the good place...
7-For finnish now, the today extra... my very nice 427 in place right on!
The engine swaap didn'T to enlarge or le made the hole onto the hood, he fit perfectly!!! Humm very nive! I like it!!!
Stay tuned for the next Shop Reposrt sonnelly on that forum!!! Daniel
