The Swanson Automotive shop in Harlan, Iowa had a long history with the Racing Division of Chevrolet. In fact, one the original Black Widow cars was 'gifted' to Dale Swanson for him to set up and run the midwest stock car races.
Having grown up in Harlan, Iowa, I used to watch this car every Friday night and some times on Saturday in Dennison. With the unique history of this car, I just had to build it.
