The 1955-1957 Thunderbirds drew much of their styling from Ford's full-size cars of the same year. If GM had had a similar philosophy, the 1957 Corvette might have looked something like this: FMW

Here it is in first primer (to find the bobbles in the putty). Also the "chrome" parts done in Alclad. The windshield is here 'cause it was broken and in generally bad shape, so it had to be fixed and "plated". As usual, more images on on: public.fotki.com/FMW/FMW

Starting white primer now. More will go on. I took a series of pictures at this stage to start playing with colors on my computer. Right now I'm thinking a semi-pastel orange. Any suggestions? FMW

After I tried some color schemes on the computer and posted these two, I decided that the turquoise did look very '57 Chevy. It would pick up some white in the interior.

Cool project. I like the blue. You might just follow the blue/while seat pattern that the 57 carries.

Here's what goes underneath. Nothing special here - just showing I'm still working on it. FMW

Glad to know it is still getting built and you are still breathing. I have been busy, so I have not posted any casting projects for awhile.

And here's the result: More pictures, as usual, at: public.fotki.com/FMWFMW P.S. I just noticed that the body got torqued a little on the frame when I took the pictures. I've fixed it. P.P.S. I bit the bullet and fixed the first four pictures in the album, including the ones above.
