Here are two more resin kits I received last week. These are by a company called Arrowhead Components out of Illinois. This company makes reproductions of the Pontiac 8 lug wheels in 1:1,1:18, and 1:25 scale. They also make a few resin kits, some of which are not found elsewhere in the market. This is a 1964 Pontiac Catalina. My kit did not come with bumpers, which I will get from the Modelhaus. I threw on a 64 Grand Prix bumper to give an idea of what it'll look like. Next is a 1963 Grand Prix, a car that was never released as a kit or promo to my knowledge. So naturally, it was on my list of kits to build. This one will take some work, but it should be much easier than scratchbuilding the car. There are about 20 parts in this kit, the grilles and the 8 lugs are especially nice. These are both curbsides, but the price is reasonable and they are the only kits of this subject that I'm aware of. There was a 63 Grand Prix on the primer table at the last DSC, but I didn't get to talk to the owner. Thanks for looking,Dan.

Hey Dan thanks for sharing the info with us. I like those grand prix wheels they look pretty nice. Hey have you ever come across a 64-65 Dodge polara? My dad had one when I was a kid and I would like to build one of the car we had. I only have like 2 pictures of part of the car but it would still be cool to do. Dave

Dave, thanks for the question. The Johan 64 Dodge is your best bet for that year, although all of the ones I have are the later issues that have all of the side trim removed. But if you're looking for a 65, it just so happens that Greg and I have been working on a resin 65 Dodge that I want to convert to a Polara. I used a Monaco kit to make a master, and plan to use Modelhaus bumpers. I don't have pictures yet, but if you are interested, say the word. Greg is a busy man, but soon I hope to have some bodies to start on. My plan all along was to make extras in case someone wanted one, but I really didn't think anyone would! Dan

So far the mold has only produced one good body out of three I tried to make. I started using a quicker curing resin. Maybe they will turn out better. I will bring what I have to the meeting tomorrow. Hey Dave, are you coming to the meeting, I have your parts.
