Hi Gang!! I was thinking,(Uh OH!!) I was wondering how many kits do you guys have unfinished? I don't mean a brand new kit that was opened, looked at then put up. I mean parts painted or body work done and such and then lost interest. I got about 6 that way what about you guys. Just wonderin' -Louie

I used all my fingers ... and took off my shoes ... and borrowed my dog's toes ... and still can't calculate the number.
But ... this fits with the suggestion for a club theme ... where members compete with long stalled projects ~ declare what you're gonna finish, show its current state and your plans for it, then complete it and put it on the table - finished!
We may do that during next year's sequence. Whaddya think?

You have my vote. I have a drag car project involving a 5 color paint job and a lot of scratch building that has been sitting around in very early stages. The project was started almost 20 years ago. This could be the push I need to dust off the cobwebs and finish it. Bernie

I have 11 on my desk now in some form of progress. Plus another 28 that have been started and in the boxes.

I found this on another model car club web site and that it was pretty funny and maybe something we should try and do next year? 2011 - FUSSY Build This will serve as the official "intervention" notice for the Buckeye Scale Auto Club. As any modeler and their family and friends know, many of us modelers from time-to-time stumble and fall into the near-helpless state of not being able to bring a model to completion, while continuing to start and purchase others. It's a sad and deplorable condition afflicting modelers the world over. Buckeye Scale Auto Club is taking a firm stand to help its members overcome and triumph over this condition clinically known as styrenus incompletus – or "Incomplete Model Syndrome." During the first few months of 2011, We encourage all of our members to come out of the Basement, Workroom, closet, etc. with styrene in tow, publically identify with their condition and reach out for help via our support group in Which We will call "Finish (your) Unfinished, Started Stuff, You!" - or F.U.S.S.Y. (when Someone asks what the fuss is all about, or why you are so fussy, this is what we can tell them.) Any club member wishing to be held accountable to complete an unfinished kit started at least 12 months prior may declare their respective subjects by our March Meeting. Subject kits must be brought to the meeting in "as noncompleted & left alone" condition. Subject kits may be completed anytime during the year, but all completed kits must be brought to the November meeting for the FUSSY competition. Members may bring more than one unfinished kit - and are encouraged to complete as many as possible for this competition. A "most Completed models” and a "best of" FUSSY builds award may be presented. Members are encouraged to bring the subjects to club meetings or provide updates and actually show progress on the build.
