Arizona Highways did a short video feature about that elderly gentleman and his amazing collection of trucks and heavy equipment. He was shown driving that yellow race car around the property. Thanks to Marty and Jim for the photo montage. So much terrific history captured there. Bernie

That is a cool place. I have been there twice and they have added more since I was there 6 years ago. BTW We were in Jerome on Sunday the 24th!!! We went into town but not up to the yard you were at. Did you go into the old garage on the main street across from the firehouse? They have old receipts for charging a battery in 1926. The cost of a charge was $9.00!! on one ticket and a few days later another battery recharge for $6.00. Those old 6 volt batterys were evpensive!!

So is Jerome where old trucks go to die? I've never heard of this collection.

We had a blast up there and I've been there around 6 times in the last 5 years or so since I found out it was there and the guy is always great to talk to and will tell you everything he knows about the stuff he has there.
Anyone up for another trip up there before the end of the year?
Thanks Jim for posting the photos, of course you could have deleted the ones of me!! Well the one with the t-shirt was OK ;D ;D ;D
