Hi gang!
I have been casting my own resin for years from plastic, clay, wax & resin masters, so I'm not new at this.
My current nemesis is vinyl tires!!!!
Something in the vinyl keeps the silicone from setting up!
I have tried several different silicons and even tried "sealing the tires with Future floor wax.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
P.S. I do have a vacuum chamber, pump & pressure pot to make my castings with if that info helps.
Tom F.

Hi Tom, Enter try a product called GI 1000 from Silicones.com this stuff will mold over almost anything. Give these guys a call just to verify what i'm saying. I've used and it works well. Tt's alittle stiffer than the average silicone to mix, but you will love the results. I also recommend pressure casting this material betwwen 25 to 30 Psi. Mix material with a metal sthingy only. Good luck with you project!
