Here is a 63, I think, Pontiac Bonneville. Loaned to me by Harold O. The name is big and so is the car! (Bonneville not Harold) This has a AMT stamp on it's underside, an original issue body. It needed a good polishing and I gave it one. It is mostly scratch free too. The front end is quite complex. It makes me wonder how they got this thing molded and yet able to remove it from the mold. It is a nice crisp example. I think original parts are made better than now. While still working on Jonathons wheels, I put some silicone in the front to help with the mold process. Yes Jonathon, I really am working on the wheels! I will only need them for a couple of more months!

Here it is ready for silicone. Now that the exterior part of the mold is complete I cut brass rod and inserted them in the holes of the mounting posts.

Greg, that looks awesome! One minor point, and I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios, that's a 1963, not a '64. Check out the post "resin Pontiacs" under "new aftermarket stuff" for pics. I wasn't going to say anything, but I wouldn't want you to have problems if you sold one and the buyer was disappointed. Nice work, though! Are you going to offer it as a kit?

Thanks for the correction of the year. It was handed to me at a model meeting a while back. I'm a CRS sufferer. I changed the date in my posts but were unable to change the dates in others posts.
Dan, I don't see the post you are referring too. All I have is a body and hood.

I have to say that you are a good teacher Too!! The molds I have made of my Javelin are coming out great. I did underestimate how much silicone it will take. The gallon I bought was enough for the body, front and rear bumper, grill insert and interior tub. I got a hood mold started but ran out of silicone. I still have to do the dash, steering wheel, shifter, chassis plate, engine and wheels.

Bring your gallon bucket over and your scale and we can weigh some out. I will sell you some for nine bucks a pound. You will need to bring your bottle of activator too. How is the dispenser bucket and stand I made working for you? I should be home all weekend.
I remember when I came over and did the clay up for the Eleanor convertible body. You thought I was nuts and never going to get done! LOL
