I scored this nice kit from Keith at Avolon Books and Hobbies yesterday for under 23 bucks. He has a ton of military and airplane kits in his store. I plan to do the body and the marker light detail like I did with the GSX project.

This is a rare Albino Johan body I will make a mold of. I want to create those separate little side marker lights for the body. THE PLAN: 1. Clean up mold lines and give the body a decent polishing. 2. Make the body mold 3. put master body back in box. 4. Make a good copy an remove the area that forms the lens. 5. make more copies of the body and remove the entire marker light and then do the painstaking work to make them fit in the holes they are to go in. 6. Make a mold of the tiny marker lights. 7. make marker lights in colors they are supposed to be. 8. Take one of the bodies I cut up and put it in my truck to see how it holds up to the new Arizona summer. The resin I use is supposed to take a good bit of heat and become pretty much chemical proof. I use SMOOTH - ON TASK 8 resin. www.smooth-on.com/tb/files/TASK_8_-_TB.pdf9. Cut out the parts of the mold that forms the marker light area. 10. put the new body back in the mold and pour silicone in this area. Hopefully it will work like the mold repair I made on the Transporter windshield opening.

No, I pulled three bodies out of the mold that were not up to a good standard so I set it aside. I have way too many started projects. I sure hope nobody is holding their breath and passing out from project updates. Staying focused when things don't go as planned is hard to do. And a house remodel is still going on.

No big deal. just curious to see if you got done what you needed to. I like to see how others do the resin stuff to get ideas and learn. Good luck with the remodel. Those are always fun too!!!??
