Moonlight Modelers Web Site Problems

I'm hoping I have come up with a way to work on getting the web site updated? I have spent a lot of time trying to get the site updated and have at come close very close to giving up on it!!!

I thought all of the problems I was having were on my end when in fact their were not!! It seems that Homestead had not taken the steps or were very far behind the 8 ball updating the program to work with Windows Vista, 7 & 8 my old lap top that I killed trying to get it to work with homestead ran Windows Vista and the new I got has Windows 8 so no matter what I did I was having problems that I had no control over!!!

I have taken a lot of heat over the web site for it not being updated and that was the main reason I didn't make the meeting. I was tried of people asking about or giving me a hard time about it, even from those that I thought knew I had been working on ways to make it work.

And now thanks to Jonathan loaning me his old lap top which has Windows XP I may be able to get the meeting pages updated!!!!
And at this time it looks like I will be working with two lap tops to do the updates on the web site, I have done a little bit on it tonight and would have liked to do more, but I had my eyes checked this afternoon and had gotten eye drops and wasn't able to see anything!!! Not that I could before........ ;D ;D ;D But in 7 to 10 days I hope to be seeing better then I have been in a very long time!!!

So I hope you all can hang in there with me for a little while longer and I will do my best to get the site up to date!!!

And, while you're at it, fix up the Links page, too. You need to restore the Cactus Car Modelers logo & link button. Don't know when or why it disappeared.

And, how about removing the links to commercial businesses that don't pay for the advertising? Leave the links to other clubs and not-for-profit hobby resources and references, though.

Thanks for your efforts. It's an ugly job, but somebody's got to do it.

I think Marty gets a lot more complaints than he deserves. He should be thanked for what he does, not berated for the time it takes him.

I would certainly like to offer a Laurel and Hardy handshake to our new........Webmaster. He has spent an awful lot of painful time getting this site up and running and not even got paid for it to help us with our hobby and leisure time. Thank You, Marty

I had to go buy ANOTHER New Lap Top yesterday!!!!!!!!!
Note: NEVER BUY A LAP TOP FROM WAL MART!!!!
I had to take it back because started having problems with just trying to start up? I would have to turn it on & off like 3 to 4 times just to be able to use the dumb thing!!!!

So I went to Best Buy and spent a LOT MORE $$$$ and got a really nice TOSHIBA Lap Top and just got done loading sitbuilder on to it and I have a lot more programs to load before I can even think about getting the rest of the Moonlight Modelers web site updated!!

I will do my best to get the Feb. & Mar pages up as soon as I can.

All of the updates are done and it seems that Homestead has made a fix for the problems I was having, I had no problems or issues doing the March page other then waiting for the photos & list.
