So I haven't been able to work on my Olds for almost a week now due to my back problem, but it has gotten better and I started back on it today. And since I didn't get it done in time for our club theme and I have more time to work on it I stripped the chrome from the bumpers, trim rings & hub cabs because I really didn't like the way they looked. I also started doing some more polishing on the paint job. Hope to get more done over the weekend..

I haven't done very much on this build since my last update. This back problem is not fun at all!!!!! I did get it up on it's wheels to see how it sits. I also started working on the spark plug wires and I think they are going to look awesome when I'm done. I thought I had everything painted black and ready for some alclad chrome, but then I found I forgot to paint the headlights!!!

Nice work so far. Back problems suck. I do have an inversion table but it is at my inlaws and they are out of town.

Nice work on this one Marty. What I really want to know is what is that handy-dandy tool organizer on your bench? That Olds top is too high, a little chop out of it and I could see me buying it.

That handy-dandy tool organizer is a ice cube tray that I got from Wal Mart, it's for making ice cubes for water bottles.

One of these days I'll get this Oldsmobile finished!!! I wasn't real happy with the way the base coat came out on the bumpers so those will have to be stripped before I can AlClad them. I have most of the motor done and just need to do a little more detailing on it. I have also started putting some BMF on the body and it's starting looking pretty d**n nice.

Yup, I'm impressed with your Olds. Like I said at the meeting, This isn't my cup of tea but I surely enjoy your detail work.
