Here is one of my so called HOLLY GRAILS. This promo body and parts are on loan to me by Dan Adams. The body was pretty dinged up when I got it and Dan had started to rebuild the windshield frame. I asked Raoul if he would do the necessary body work to complete the prep work. He happily agreed and did a really great job rebuilding the nose on the hood and other repairs. Thanks Raoul for your helping me on this. I polished the body and gave it a good washing and another cotton ball rub down for a pic. It is a really cool car. I just happen to remember that I wanted to buy a 67 Firebird convertible in 76. A guy in Newtown, Indiana had one. It was red, with a black interior, black top. a six cylinder with a 3 speed. In 76 he traded it for a car in Attica. This was when I first wanted to buy a car. I wanted to buy it but Dad said no. My older brother ordered a 76 Mustang Cobra with a 302. He was going to trade the 72 GS in on it, but I bought that car instead.

Hey, Marty! Do you think this special someone would be willing to build a website for the Cactus Car Modelers? CCM has long been in need of a proper website, including a page or separate site for the Desert Scale Classic. (Apologies to Greg and Marty for taking over your thread) Bernie

WELL....I have learned another important lesson in resin casting. I was cleaning my casting room and stacked this mold and two other molds on top of one another not thinking about damage. They set there for a couple of days and now the body from this mold now makes a crappy body. Now I'm having to make new molds. The body is bowed out at the bottom, much wider than the master body.

I got the new mold done for the Promo. It's turning out a really nice body. I made two today. Raoul and I have both used a lot of elbow grease to make this a great project. Note: Our elbow grease is made from only the finest, purest virgin elbows!
