Time for another update. Many of you have seen the car out as I took it to the Moonlight meeting. Car was appraised, got the car insured as a classic collector through Hagerty. That was interesting to say the least. Plus they called me wanting to know about my daily driver. I knew that call was coming too. They wanted to know what the difference between my 71 Fury Wagon and the 71 Chevelle was that one is a collector and the other is a daily driver. I let them know that one is now restored and one is not. They wanted to know who fixes the cars when they break and how reliable the wagon is. They also wanted to know how long we have owned them all. It was interesting to answer all the questions. I know behind it all is risk management. I thought registering a car that was not on the road for 11 years was going to be difficult. I used a third party title place and it was easy and done in 25 minutes. The hardest part was that the car was no longer in the database since it was so long. I didn't have to get it emission tested since it is insured as a collector car.
