Well, I wanted it done by now and it's so close!! The new interior panels have arrived and the rear ones are dyed grey. Found out my right rear regulator is wrong. It has bell crank shaft that is 1/4 inch too short. With the quarter panel in place I can't get the crank handle on. I measured it and it is 11/16 and the other three are 15/16. Then putting on the fan shroud I managed to brake off the nipple for the overflow hose on the radiator. Sometimes I just take a few steps back. Wheels are now painted and the new tires are on them!!

It has been awhile since my last update. I was trying to finish it up by Christmas but could not. We have been fighting with the interior parts for the last few months. Some items have been on back order and others were wrong and were taking time to figure out. Here the rear seat is in and so are the seatbelts. It is looking great but for some reason the seats look darker in the pics. They don't appear darker in person. That is the amp mounted to the bottom of the seat. It is out of the way and moves with the seat. I did this with the last amp that the car had.

Here is part of my major frustration. Here is a shot of the headrests. This is the second set of headrest covers for this car and they still would not fit. This is after I got my interior and they were missing. That is when I was told that they were not included and were extra. Even thou they are pictured in the online page and shown on the seat. I did get a third set yesterday and they are correct and fit. Also here is the front seat and were I had stopped. Notice the drivers side is missing the seat back. During assembly I found out I had another pass side seat back foam. I started freaking out and thought I put the drivers side on the pass. Once I realized that I could not have done that and relaxed. They sent me another seat back and now I am finally on track.

Since I was on hold with the interior and we had to catch up on some bills. I did manage to button up some small items. What you are looking at here is the core support right under the radiator. Notice the sway bar and gear box. This is my A/C line that is hidden under the radiator. So both A/C lines come off the compressor and come forward then disappear. This line is in mock up in this pic but now is fully welded and installed.

A few weeks ago I saw this spoiler online and had to buy it. It is made of steel and looks great.

Now I am currently putting the last items of the interior together. Here are the door panels. One is the pearl color I ordered and the other one is after I dyed it grey. The Malibu emblem that goes on the panel has been on back order since December and now I think I will leave it off. It was going to be the only Malibu emblem on the car. One door done!!

So here is sits waiting for the alignment and getting the A/C charged up. The Lo Jack has been installed and I still need to do a few more things and I am waiting on a few little parts. Finish up the polishing and wax it. I still need to get the car insured and registered.

That spoiler does look good. The seats look like nice puffy comfortable seats like in a big Buick. The car looks great.
