We need to install a couple of locator tabs to make it easy to line up the front header panel. I'll call you on that, in the mean time let's put the casting on hold until it's all set up.

That is a great idea, I had not thought of that. I'm glad I have not spent the time yet to clay this up. I can drop it by. When will that be convenient for you?

Any time Greg, let me know what day you can come and I'll get it fixed right up.

Thanks, Mike, I would like to trot by on my way to work and drop it off.

New and improved and streamlined too! I have the body back from Mike. He did a great job of adding some locating tabs that will keep the front end in place. I now have two molds that are going to the pasture. I think I can finally get this pony across the finish line and fill the existing order list.

Here is the front end part clayed up. It took longer to clay up and prep this than it did the rest of the body.

...But it should make for a nice, easy pull.

Yes, Mike it should. So Far, so good. Here is the body getting ready for some silicone once again. The body appears to be running uphill. I'm uncertain why. I'm really not caring much now. I figure I am about six weeks behind in this project. Fortunately, nobody has paid me in advance for one of these and moaning for the lack of getting their goods. That is a mess I'm not willing to get into purposefully. Thank you for your patience anyway.

I'm pretty happy with this. Flash barely exists.

This project has become the south end of a North bound horse! The body is fabulous EXCEPT!The thickness of the front end where the newly designed separate part attaches is too thick. I have only made two pulls. I don't think I like this new silicone. It is softer than the purple stuff I just stopped using due to shrinkage. The master is on the left, the first pull in the middle and the second pull on the right. The first pull is wider at the bottom and thicker on the passenger side. On pull number two I took two shopping bags and tied them around the mold to cinch it up and that helped. I will now bend some sheet metal to cradle the mold in to keep the sides gootn'tight and hopefully it will be the final hurdle. This thing is just killing me!

They don't really look that far off. Hopefully, the metal sleeve will take care of the problem.
