Teresa's Chevelle update

Here are a few more updates. I got sanding on the firewall to smooth it out and get it ready for paint. The underside was scraped off of it's undercoating then degreassed. This was a messy job.

Now it was time to paint the underside. Got primer on it first, then came the chassis black paint.

Now came the messy part. I decided to spray bedliner material under thr chassis to use as undercoating. It's great for that and since it is a two part epoxy. It is unaffected by gas and oil when it is dry. Only a few issues with it. It has a pot life of 45-60 minutes at 72 degrees and takes about 10 min to mix up into a mud consistancy. It also gets everywhere when sprayed!!! I put plastic down and on just about everything. It got all over me and I was sticking to the plastic. It came out nice but I don't know if I would do that again.

Awesome job. I would like to take a ride in it when it is done! Sometimes I look worse than that after unstopping a drain at work. Be glad it ain't poop and goop!

Yes. I was laying down and spraying up. The gravity fed primer gun didn't work too well that way!! The bedliner spray gun is alot like a plaster hopper for drywall texture. Only it is of the suction type. It sprays at 50 psi and gets everywhere!! I got the chassis home and have to add some more pics!!
